Parking and Speed Guidelines

We all understand that speeding endangers everyone on the road. Although balancing a hectic schedule and the stresses of modern life are well known, speed limits are in place to safeguard all road users, MOST IMPORTANTLY students.

Please take note of the following:

No one will operate a vehicle in the Good Shepherd International School campus faster than 15 kmph but every vehicle operator will also be required to consider the circumstances and take into account the actual and potential hazards present and slow down even further if there is any risk of harm to others on the roads. Such risks may be but not limited to, weather conditions, pedestrians, and other vehicles.

Pedestrians always have the right of way, and anyone operating a vehicle including two-wheelers should always be mindful of that.

During the following period, all vehicular movement will be prohibited:

8:00 – 8:45

10:40 – 11:10

12:50 – 13:45 (Only food vehicles are free from the curfew and must travel at a maximum speed of 15 km/h)

15:40 – 16:30

19:15 – 20 : 15

The following guidelines are always in force and are meant to maintain law and order, facilitate traffic flow for vehicles and pedestrians, and protect students and school property.

These rules must be known by everyone operating a vehicle on the GSIS campus. Ignorance is not an excuse for breaking these laws. GSIS parking and traffic regulations may be revised at any time.

  • Parking is prohibited on all campus roadways and in any area that is not clearly marked with parking stripes or signs.
  • All fire lanes are off-limits for parking.
  • Parking places with lines must be used for all vehicles.
  • The school is not required to label or post signs prohibiting parking in every location. The driver of the car is in charge of parking in compliance with the rules. Absence of signs does not indicate non-enforcement.
  • Parking spaces marked with special use restrictions may not be used by unauthorized vehicles.
  • Disobeying parking rules cannot be justified by a lack of space in the intended location.
  • GSIS disclaims all financial responsibility for thefts from or damage to any vehicles used or parked on school grounds.
  • It is not permitted to park on the grass or the exterior edge of the parking lots.
