Campus Traffic Safety Policy

  1. Purpose and Scope

At GSIS, we are committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of our community of students, staff members, and visitors to our campus. The purpose of this Traffic Safety Policy is to establish clear guidelines and regulations for the movement of vehicles within the campus premises. This policy applies to all staff members who use two-wheelers and four-wheelers to enter the campus.

Everyone is hereby requested to adhere to the following without any exception.

2. Helmet Usage

It has been observed that staff members entering the campus on two-wheelers in the morning hours have not been wearing helmets, which poses a significant safety risk. To address this concern, we have implemented a strict policy of helmet usage within the campus. Therefore, all individuals using two-wheelers within the campus must adhere to the following guidelines:

Mandatory Helmet Usage: All staff members must wear a proper and approved helmet at all times while operating a two-wheeler within the campus.

3. Speed Limit

In response to concerns about over-speeding within the campus, we have established a maximum speed limit of 15 kmph to ensure the safety of all campus occupants. Therefore, all individuals operating vehicles (two-wheelers and four-wheelers) within the campus must adhere to the following guidelines:

Maximum Speed Limit: The maximum speed limit within the campus is set at 15 kilometers per hour (Exceeding this speed limit is strictly prohibited).

4. Zero Tolerance Policy

This Traffic Safety Policy is a zero-tolerance policy, meaning that any violations of the policy will be addressed promptly and with appropriate consequences. Violations may result in penalties, fines, suspension of driving privileges, and in severe cases, termination for the school vehicle drivers. The severity of the penalty will depend on the level of the infraction and the discretion of the campus safety team.
